  • Objective

    To assess utility of biomarkers amylase and pepsin A compared with total pepsin from tracheal aspirates to diagnose microaspiration in patients requiring ventilation via endotracheal tube. The secondary objective is to look for a cytokine activity pattern that relates to the development of BPD.
