Alyssa Grundon is a board-certified family nurse practitioner at Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology. Her specialties include providing:
- Pregnancy prevention options
- Vaginal infection screening and care
- Menstrual management, including heavy, irregular and/or painful periods
Alyssa joined Orlando Health Arnold Palmer in 2015, serving first as a pediatric registered nurse, then as a clinical education specialist.
She has a commitment to evidence-based healthcare. Alyssa treats her patients with respect and wants to ensure that she equips her patients and their families with the information they need to make their best health decisions.
Alyssa’s Training
Alyssa received a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Florida State University in Tallahassee and earned a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), Family Nurse Practitioner, at the University of Central Florida in Orlando.
Her clinical training emphasized treatment for adolescent eating disorders, hormone therapy, skin care, depression and anxiety, and urgent women's gynecology conditions. She is skilled in procedures such as Nexplanon placement, medical device management and injections.
About Alyssa
Alyssa is board certified as a family nurse practitioner (FNP-BC) by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She also is a certified pediatric nurse and is licensed as an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN). She is a member of the North American Society for Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology.
Alyssa’s community service includes mentoring young women at several faith-based organizations and volunteering at Camp Boggy Creek, a nonprofit that gives memorable experiences to children with serious illness and their families.
Outside of work, Alyssa enjoys reading, traveling and spending time outdoors with her dog.
