As a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist specializing in Maternal Fetal Medicine and Clinical Genetics, Dr. Karla Leavitt cares for patients with high-risk pregnancies at the Center for Maternal Fetal Medicine at Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies. Her experience includes managing pregnancies in women with a family history of genetic disorders or congenital anomalies and pregnancies with fetal anomalies. She also provides preconception counseling to families with a history of adverse pregnancy outcomes.

Dr. Leavitt’s Training
Dr. Leavitt has extensive education and training in her field. She attended the University of Puerto Rico in San Juan where she earned her medical degree and bachelor’s degree in biological sciences, graduating from both programs with honors. While there, she also earned a master’s degree in public health.
Dr. Leavitt’s post-graduate training includes:

- Fetal therapy fellowship at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore
