Bio
Michael McMahan, MD, joined Orlando Health in 1995 as a member of the Neonatal Intensive Care Team at Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies. Dr. McMahan is board-certified in Pediatrics and Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine. He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Section.
Dr. McMahan earned his medical degree from the University of South Florida College of Medicine. He completed his Pediatric Residency and Neonatology Fellowship at Children's Hospital Medical Center in Cincinnati followed by 2 years as a William Cooper Procter Research Scholar.
Dr. McMahan is the current Chairman of the Department of Neonatology and serves on the Medical Executive Committee for Orlando Health and the Leadership Team for the Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children and Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies. He is a member of the Corporate Infection Control Committee and the Pharmacotherapy Committee for Orlando Health. In addition Dr. McMahan is the Medical Director of the Delivery Room Steering Committee at Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies.
He enjoys teaching and is the Director for Resident Education in the NICU. His medical interests involve nutrition and respiratory support of the Neonate.

Ratings may not be present for certain physicians of Orlando Health Physician Group and Orlando Health Physician Associates because:
- The physician has not yet met the minimum number of 30 patient satisfaction surveys to be eligible for display.
- They may be a researcher or type of provider that does not see patients.
- They may practice in a specialty or office that has not yet implemented the specified surveys used for these ratings.
