Dr. Yiwen Cui is a maternal fetal medicine physician with the Center for Maternal Fetal Medicine at Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women and Babies. Dr. Cui works with women whose pregnancies are complicated either by maternal medical problems such as diabetes, hypertension and autoimmune disease or by fetal congenital diseases.
She specializes in:
- Diabetes and nutritional counseling
- Cardiac disease in pregnancy
- Hypertensive disorders in pregnancy
- Prenatal testing

Dr. Cui’s Training
Dr. Cui earned her medical degree at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston and completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Albany Medical Center in New York. Her fellowship in maternal fetal medicine was at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee.
About Dr. Cui
Her research interests include gestational diabetes pathophysiology, downstream effects of fetal macrosomia and maternal obesity. Dr. Cui’s research on pregnancy-related health has been published in peer-reviewed journals, and she has given numerous poster presentations at meetings of the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine and other health organizations.
Outside of work, she enjoys reading, playing tennis and travel – especially to explore national parks.
