Welcome to the Center for Urogynecology
The Center for Urogynecology provides comprehensive, evidence-based medical care for your gynecological needs in a warm and caring environment. We treat our patients the way we would desire to be treated. The practice offers a full spectrum of diagnostic tests and treatments, including specialized physical therapy, prescription medication and surgical intervention to help manage your disorder and improve your quality of life. If a surgical solution is required, the majority of our surgical procedures are performed using minimally invasive surgery resulting in less pain, less scarring, and a faster recovery time for our patients.
Our story began in 1996 when Eileen Farwick, DO, FACOG, and two office staff began an OB-GYN practice in West Orange County inside the medical office building at Health Central Hospital. The focus of the practice was to provide exceptional medical and surgical medicine for women in a caring environment. As Dr. Farwick’s reputation grew, so did the demand for her gynecologic expertise. In 2007, she made the decision to focus exclusively on gynecology, expanding her surgical skills and becoming trained in robotic-assisted laparoscopic surgery. In 2011, Dr. Farwick, WHNP, and the original office staff joined with Winnie Palmer Hospital and formed the Center for Urogynecology. When board certification became available for the sub-specialty of female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery, Dr. Farwick was one of the first physicians to pass the boards in 2012. Today, the practice performs up to 98 percent of needed surgeries through minimally invasive techniques, allowing patients fewer complications, faster recoveries and quicker returns to their normal daily lives. The practice’s dedication to the betterment of women’s health continues through involvement in organizations such as the American Institute of Minimally Invasive Surgery, American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, American Urogynecologic Society and AAGL Advancing Minimally Invasive Gynecology Worldwide.
