Clinical Social Work

Overview

Clinical Social Workers are key members of the healthcare team, working with patients and their families to help manage the difficulties of the hospital stay. Clinical Social Workers are experienced mental health professionals. They have a master's degree and are licensed by the State of Florida.

They provide counseling and support to help families cope with the emotional stresses of illness and hospitalization. They assist with discharge planning to ensure the continuity of care. They also provide referrals to community services and resources.

Department Hours:

Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 7:00 pm
Saturday and Sunday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
