Welcoming New Beginnings with Expert Labor and Delivery Care

As part of Orlando Health Women's Institute, Orlando Health Watson Clinic Lakeland Highlands Hospital combines nationally recognized women's care with a personalized birth experience close to home.

Our Labor & Delivery unit features eight private birthing suites, thoughtfully designed for comfort, privacy and family-centered care. Each suite includes advanced medical technology and space for a support person to stay with you throughout your labor and delivery journey.

Following delivery, you'll recover in one of our 28 private postpartum suites, featuring calming interiors and room for loved ones to visit and support you as you welcome your newest family member.

Our team of obstetricians, nurses and specialists is dedicated to providing individualized care, whether you're planning for a routine delivery or require specialized support for a high-risk pregnancy.

Families also benefit from access to newborn care services, including a Level II NICU opening Fall 2026, providing additional support for babies who need specialized monitoring and treatment.

Orlando Health Watson Clinic Lakeland Highlands Hospital Center for Women and Babies will be offering in-person tours for women in the community to learn what to expect, see the private labor and delivery and postpartum suites, and receive information about online pre-registration for delivery, and additional amenities to customize your care experience. Tour schedule will be posted online soon.

Frequently Asked Questions

We know that coming to a hospital can be overwhelming. By knowing what to expect, you and your family can feel reassured and more at ease.

We encourage all our patients and guests to park in the parking lot east of the building. The main entrance is located on the east side of the building. You can also take advantage of the valet service.

Our main entrance is open daily from 5:00 am to 9:30 pm. Visiting hours typically end at 9:00 pm to allow our patients to rest; however, we understand that certain situations may require flexibility.

Our cafeteria is open daily from 5:30 am to 10:00 pm, offering a variety of meal and snack options to accommodate our patients, visitors and staff.

When you arrive you will be greeted by security and proceed through their check point. After entering the main lobby you will check-in at our front desk. Our guest services team will be able to direct you to the right place and provide more information at that time.

If you are a patient coming for a procedure, please bring the following:

  • List of all current medications, including over-the-counter, herbal and supplements
  • List of dosages, when they are taken and the last dose taken
  • Primary care physician’s name and contact information
  • List of known allergies and medication reactions
  • List of medical conditions
  • List of surgeries
  • Contact information for family or friends
  • Pharmacy name, address and phone number
  • Insurance card
  • Social security card

Our main entrance is open daily from 5:00 am to 9:00 pm. Our visitation policy is open, without specific hours, so families can support their loved ones. The Emergency Department does limit visitors to 2 per patient.

Our cafeteria is open Monday - Friday from 6:30 am to 8:00 pm, as well as Saturday - Sunday from 6:30 am to 7:00 pm, offering a variety of meal and snack options to accommodate our patients, visitors and staff.

Concord Coffee Shop is open 5:30 to 8:00 pm daily.

If you are a patient coming for childbirth delivery, please bring the following:

  • Your birth plan
  • Photo identification for you and your support person
  • Insurance card
  • List of current medications, including dosage and when they were last taken
  • Digital devices, chargers and accessories
  • Aromatherapy lotions and/or oils
  • Baby book to record birth details
  • Personal items, such as hair accessories, lip balm and toiletries
  • Eyeglasses or contact lens case
  • Comfortable nursing bra
  • Comfortable underwear for wearing pads
  • Nursing pillow
  • Nightgown, PJs, or robe
  • Flip flops
  • Comfortable clothes to wear home
  • Snacks
  • Infant car seat
  • Clothes for baby to wear home
