Meet Our Assistant Manager, Patient Events & Community Engagement, Lauren LaRuffa

A little about me:

I’m a Florida girl through and through, Go Gators! Outside of work, I love spending time with my friends and family, watching movies, making music, and exploring new coffee shops.

I’m incredibly passionate about working with patients and their families and finding ways to make their hospital experience a little brighter. It is an absolute joy for me to combine the fun of the studio with our hospital-wide patient events. Whether it’s through conversation, laughter, or collaboration, I love creating positive moments and helping make the hospital feel a little more like home for our patients.

What is your favorite part of the studio?

I love watching patients become more confident over time. We see patients who come in and feel shy and nervous to participate, but after a few visits, they become so much more comfortable and confident in front of the camera and being creative.

What are three unexpected items on your desk?

1. A secret box of squishy toys
2. 13 Sonny Angel figurines
3. A "Dog Mom" coffee mug (but I don't have a dog)

Do you have a hidden talent?

I am a classically trained opera singer
