Orlando Health Medical Surgical (Med-Surg) Team

Our med-surg team cares for a variety of patients with noncritical status who need acute care management. Med-surg patients may be long-term, transitioning to a skilled nursing facility or admitted for surgical implications. This team is an excellent fit for new nurses and nurses who enjoy making close connections with their patients.

Orlando Health Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

Our PCU teams provide complex patient care for a wide variety of medical diagnoses that require telemetry and frequent observation. PCU nurses see patients with pneumonia, cardiac conditions, renal disorders, GI bleeds and sepsis as well as stable postoperative patients. This team is ideal for those who enjoy a fast-paced environment or want to develop their time-management skills. PCU is also an excellent starting point for those who want to pursue an ER career.
